Varieties of Confectionery Coating
Confectionery coating—sometimes called almond bark or dipping or candy coating—is available in white, milk and dark chocolate varieties. It's available in many different forms. At your store, you may find large individual blocks, packages of flat disks or chips and boxes of individually wrapped 1-ounce squares. A substitute for 6 ounces of chocolate coating would be 6 ounces of chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of shortening melted together.
