Problem-Solving Pointers for Bread Machines
Bread is Lumpy or Dough Appears Dry
Dough is too dry. Add a little more water during the kneading cycle.
Dough is Sticky and Won't Form a Ball
Dough is too moist. Add a little more flour during the kneading cycle.
Bread has a Mushroom Top
Water was too warm.
Bread has an Underbaked, Gummy Center
Dough was too moist.
Top is Sunken
Too much yeast or liquid and/or not enough flour was used.
Bread Rose too High or Overflowed Pan
Next time, reduce the amount of yeast slightly and remember to add the salt.
