The slow cooker—you know it, you use it, you love it. This handy appliance is simple, time-saving, affordable and green! It uses far less energy than your stove, plus you just set it and forget it. That's why so many cooks rely on it for weeknight meals, potlucks, parties and more.
We're looking for your very best recipes for the Taste of Home "Slow Cooker Favorites" contest.
We'd like to consider:
- Your proven ways to prepare every cut of meat imaginable—from roasts and chops to chicken and beef. And don't forget seafood!
- Simmering soup, chili and gumbo recipes.
- Mexican, Asian, Italian and other ethnic favorites.
- Vegetarian options, like stuffed peppers and rice dishes.
- Appetizers including hot dips, chicken wings and more.
- Breakfast bakes and hot cereals that you prep the night before to enjoy bright and early.
- And how about sweets? Crumbles, crisps, even cakes are a great way to use this handy appliance.

Contest Rules
You may enter more than one recipe. If you email or mail your recipe, be sure to print the name of the contest as well as your full name, street address and phone number, including area code, with each entry. Be specific with measurements, directions and the size of cans, packages and pans so others can successfully make your recipe. Include a few words about the origin of your recipe. Share any compliments it's received, plus any variations you recommend. If any duplicates are received, the entries with the earliest postmarks will be considered.
